THE JLP WELCOMES NEW FACILITATORS
The Atlantic region hosted an orientation session for new facilitators in St-John’s Newfoundland from February 20 to 24, 2017. The session was facilitated by the JLP Program Officers, Patrick Dorval (Employer) and Rachel Besharah (Union). The participants were introduced to the Creating a Harassment-Free Workplace, Respecting Differences and Anti-Discrimination and Understanding the Collective Agreement workshop kits.
Participants were thrilled to have taken part in the orientation session. “This is the best workshop I have done, mostly because of the practice. It allowed me to make mistakes in a ‘safe’ environment” and “The content was superb.” were just a couple comments that were shared.
Angela Léger and Wanda Thomas (Regional Field Coordinators) have welcomed a group of 18 facilitators. These new facilitators are now part of the JLP: Joshua Arbeau, Gary Bruce, Karen Bursey, John Doody, Hannah, Fuchs, Craig Hogan, Karen Hole-Bagnell, Eric Leukert, Natasha Matheson, Joe McGrath, Mercy Oyet, Adele Petten Staple, Kimberley Pope, Jody Roach, Blair Thorne, Scott Vere-Holloway, Janet Warren and Nadine Williams.
