JLP Promotion at Public Service Alliance of Canada’s Atlantic School
The JLP was invited to host a kiosk during the PSAC Atlantic School held between October 17-21, in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
The PSAC Atlantic School brings together union activists from the four Atlantic provinces to advance their skills and leadership in strengthening the labour movement.
The school’s in-residence program is tailored to deliver advanced courses in both official languages, while immersing participants in union culture. This year’s school was called “Building it Stronger: a union school for movement builders”.
The theme was a good fit with the JLP Program mandate to improve labour-management relations in the public service. Participants learned about the JLP workshop topics and how becoming a JLP Facilitator not only contributes to improved communications within an organization but also provides transferable facilitation skills throughout their career.
