A busy season in the Québec region
Throughout the fall, the Québec region has been busy promoting the JLP at a range of conferences, many of which are being held in person for the first time in years.
In September, Andrée Damphousse and Michèle Parent, the Regional Field Coordinators (RFC) for the Québec region, hosted a kiosk at the Union of National Employees (UNE) conference in Trois-Rivières. They spoke with dozens of conference attendees about JLP workshops and discussions as well as encouraging them to consider applying to be facilitators for the Program.
In October, the Québec RFCs tabled at the PSAC Regional Women’s Conference in Mont-Sainte-Anne. With the theme of “Inclusive Feminists for a Better Future”, the conference welcomed over 70 participants from across Québec. The JLP RFCs were happy to chat with members about the Program, its offerings and how to become a facilitator.
And in November, the RFCs participated in the National Manager’s Community Learning Day, which was held using a hybrid model, where in-person events took place simultaneously in Montreal and Québec. The kiosk in Montreal was staffed by Union RFC Michèle Parent and Kettly Guerrier, a facilitator representing the Employer. In Québec, the kiosk was hosted by Andrée Damphousse, Employer RFC and Fedna Mayrand, Union facilitator. Many managers stopped by the JLP kiosks to discuss the learning opportunities being offered as well as how to become a facilitator for the Program.
As people start to meet in-person once more, look for the JLP’s presence at more events like these across Canada.
