Coming together to learn and grow in Port Elgin

From October 6 through 10, Port Elgin hosted the newest facilitators in the Ontario-Nunavut region.Regional Field Coordinators Anu Datta (employer) and AaronMacGregor (union) welcomed 20 participants to Port Elgin’s Unifor Family Education Center.

The JLP taught me skills that go beyond facilitating. These are skills that will benefit all areas of my life.

Program Officers Suzanne McFarlane (employer) and Konstantin Kilibarda (union) steered the participants through experiential learning activities drawn from three JLP in-person workshops, namely Preventing Harassment and Violence in the Workplace, Respecting Differences and Anti-Discrimination and Duty to Accommodate. These activities familiarized participants with some popular workshops while also honing their facilitation and communication skills.

Terrific experience filled with personal and professional growth.
