The JLP Welcomes New Facilitators
From November 6 to 10, 2017, JLP-Quebec hosted an orientation session for new facilitators in Montreal. Program Officer Nathalie Duquette and Monique Bernier led the session, at which we presented the kits for three workshops: Creating a Harassment-Free Workplace, Understanding the Collective Agreement and Duty to Accommodate.
A number of participants expressed their appreciation for the program, saying they were ready to start facilitating JLP workshops. As one of the participants put it, “To sum up the week: WOW! I can’t wait to facilitate some sessions. I’m so excited about my week.”
Regional Coordinators Manon Bouchard and Andrée Damphousse welcomed 17 new facilitators: Mériam Abouelouafaa, Michaelle Antoine, Leila Benkirane, Michel Bergeron, Ghislain Boucher, Christiane Chiasson, Karine Chouinard, Annie David, Jennifer Garvey, Fotini Gountoussoudis, Vinojan Kanagarathnam, Marie-Claude Marcoux, Sean Mcnally, Razvan Movila, Dominique Péarron, Chantale Pomerleau and Charles Taker.
The Coordinators took the opportunity to recognize Sonya Simard for her ten years of dedication to the JLP and for having facilitated over 55 workshops. Sonya is a major asset to the program, working closely with management to improve labour relations at the various organizations.
We used the session as an opportunity to invite the two people responsible for the MOU with Service Canada. Annie Kazadi and Annie-Louise Gauthier had a chance to meet the new facilitators for their department.
Congratulations and welcome to everyone involved with this large and wonderful JLP team.
