The JLP mourns the passing of David Moore
The JLP is deeply saddened by the loss of David Moore, a former JLP facilitator.
A longtime employee of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), David Moore joined the JLP as a facilitator in March 2012. A committed member of the Ontario / Nunavut facilitation team, David delivered several workshops for the Program including Mental Health in the Workplace, Preventing Harassment and Violence in the Workplace and Understanding the Collective Agreement.
Feedback from David’s co-facilitators, organizers and participants was consistently positive. Demonstrating his commitment to the JLP, David participated in several professional development opportunities for facilitators. Most recently, David participated in a clinic on the JLP’s return to in-person workshops in the fall of 2022. Anyone who knew him will have known him as an endlessly humble and positive person, full of kindness and generosity.
David’s commitment and contribution to a healthier workplace will have a lasting impact on the federal public service.
The JLP extends its sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. The impact of his loss on his community is immeasurable.
